I'm Feeling Twenty Two!

As of last week I'm officially a year older! And I'd like to think a little bit wiser but the jury's out on that one. I'm not really into big birthday celebrations and lately I've turned into a bit of a grandma who doesn't go out a lot, so this year I kept it pretty low-key, just a day out shopping and a family dinner.

My birthday was on the Sunday so I headed to Kildare Village with my mam, on a quest for the perfect pair of black skinny jeans. That mission was a total failure but I had a fun day bonding with her and we went for a gorgeous lunch in L'Officina by Dunne and Crescenzi.

Ed Sheeran: The X Tour

Last Saturday I went to Ed Sheeran's gig in Croke Park and he put on probably the best gig I've ever been to. Sing-songs, surprise guests and a proposal? This gig had everything and more.

I've been a big fan of Ed for a couple of years now and since I'd missed every other gig he's played here due to being broke, I jumped at the chance to get tickets and call it my birthday present from my parents (they were totally cool with that, I swear). My mam came along with me and we had a great time bonding over our love for the adorable ginger!

Festival Fun: St Anne's Rose Festival

Let me just preface this post by saying that I'm the world's worst blogger and I hate that I'm so flaky and unreliable when it comes to blogging... And every other aspect of my life! Don't get me wrong, I love writing and I love my blog but I'm pretty useless at keeping to any kind of schedule so I've been totally neglecting my blog lately. That's gona change though because I have so many ideas and I'm going to force myself to get them out there! Okay, now that that's out of the way let's move on.

Probably my favourite thing about the area I live in is that St. Anne's Park is practically on my doorstep. My dad has worked there since long before I was born so that park was pretty much my second back garden as a kid. I know every inch of the park like the back of my hand and I spent countless hours there growing up.

The Daily Face

This is just my everyday makeup routine that I've been wearing lately. Right now I'm focusing on trying to control and clear my adult acne so I've been wearing lighter coverage and using less products overall. I'm definitely starting to see some results, my skin seems to have calmed down a bit, hallelujah!

Nail-ed It! Elegant Touch False Nails Review

I'm back, with my first ever product review! Back in March I had one or two events and my nails were in a bad way so the quick and easy solution was to cover them up with falsies. I love long nails and I love painting my nails but they're very rarely in good condition. I was a nail biter as a child and I still find myself having a little nibble whenever I feel stressed or anxious. On top of that, my nails get weaker the longer they are so they tend to break very easily. I popped into Boots and picked up the Elegant Touch False Nails in Short Oval, and I decided to go ahead and write a little review for you.

Impromptu Hiatus

My poor, poor blog I've neglected you so much! Sorry for randomly falling off the face of the internet guys! Ever have those periods of time where life just gets on top of you? Yeah, that's been me for the past few weeks - and I haven't even been particularly busy. March was a bit of a hectic month with one thing after another so I was finding it hard to fit in time to blog, and then suddenly it was May and I honestly don't know where the time went. Days turned to weeks and now here we are.

I've been feeling a bit uninspired which was making it difficult for me to come up with new ideas for posts and to actually sit down and write them. The longer I left it the harder it was to get back into it, so today I sat myself down and said "Sinead, get it together!" and opened up my blog once again. I'm determined not to fall into another funk and I'm committed to blogging regularly again, I think I just needed to give myself a bit of a kick to get my mojo back. I've got a few ideas now and some more posts planned so watch this space because I'm coming back with a vengeance! There'll be a couple of posts up during the week so hopefully you'll stick around to read and enjoy them :)

Little White Dress

While the little black dress will never go out of style, it seems that its white counterpart is stealing the spotlight this season. The little white dress is the new staple that every woman needs in her wardrobe. I noticed white dresses creeping in towards the end of the Autumn/Winter season and now the trend is definitely here to stay! A favourite with celebs such as the Jenner sisters and Taylor Swift, the LWD is a chic and effortless piece that can easily be dressed up or down. And for those of you with zombie pale skin like mine, you can definitely pull off an all- white look! Just like red lipstick, the perfect shade is out there for every skin tone; from bright white to more muted off-white tones you're sure to find one that works for you. I've put together two outfits centered around the LWD, a dressy look for nights out or special events and a more laid-back casual look for browsing around the shops or having lunch with friends. I definitely think that this will become a classic and timeless piece, just like the LBD.
